• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently.
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and polishing to keep all surfaces immaculate.
• Use janitorial tools and cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuums, floor buffers, and cleaning carts.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate professionally with residents or guests regarding their specific cleaning needs or requests, ensuring a positive experience.
• Conduct outdoor work when necessary, maintaining cleanliness around entryways and outdoor communal areas.
• Follow established custodial practices to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills to complete daily duties promptly without compromising quality.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or janitorial cleaning roles with strong knowledge of sanitation procedures.
• Expertise in floor cleaning techniques including carpet care, tile maintenance, and floor polishing.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies.
• Skilled in using various cleaning equipment like vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and dusters.
• Experience with laundry processes including washing machines, dryers, folding techniques, and linen management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with residents or clients about their needs.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the shift.
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior common areas or entryways.
• Knowledge of dusting techniques and surface cleaning methods for different materials.
