Job Summary
NC LICENSED PART TIME/FULL TIME PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT needed for an established private outpatient orthopedic clinic, Hampstead Topsail PT. Enjoy a one-on-one treatment setting in a team-oriented environment less than 5 mins from the beach! Treating max 10 patients a day is the max! NC PT License, one year of orthopedic experience, and a positive caring attitude appreciated! New grads are welcome to apply! Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and mobility
- Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, adjusting techniques as needed to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on physical therapy exercises, discharge instructions, and injury prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment details, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support discharge planning by coordinating follow-up care and ensuring smooth transitions between care settings
- Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols during all patient interactions
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy and other manual therapy techniques
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients effectively
- Prior experience in geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
