Position Begins: Winter 2026
Hampstead Academy is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly skilled Kindergarten–Grade 1 Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. This position is ideal for an educator who understands early childhood development deeply and brings warmth, joy, and intentionality to the classroom.

Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and facilitating developmentally appropriate learning experiences for K–1 students
- Creating a warm, engaging classroom culture that supports social-emotional growth
- Differentiating instruction to meet a wide range of learners
- Collaborating closely with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership
- Communicating thoughtfully and regularly with families
- Supporting students’ early literacy, numeracy, and inquiry-based learning through experiential approaches
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Classroom experience teaching Kindergarten and/or Grade 1
- A strong understanding of child development and early learning practices
- A calm, joyful presence and the ability to build meaningful relationships with young children
- Experience with inquiry-based, play-informed, or experiential learning approaches
- Experience with Orton-Gillingham or structured literacy approaches (a plus)
- Experience with Reggio Emilia–inspired practices (a plus)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s preferred)
- Teaching certification or eligibility preferred
