Description:
We are seeking responsible and vigilant Lifeguards to join our team and ensure the safety of our pool patrons. The Lifeguards will be responsible for monitoring swimmers, enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a clean and safe pool environment. This position requires strong swimming skills, CPR certification, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool activities and ensure the safety of all swimmers.
- Proactively enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing water rescues and administering first aid as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and facilities, reporting any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including cleaning surfaces, removing debris, and ensuring proper storage of equipment.
- Participate in regular training sessions and drills to maintain and improve lifeguarding skills.
- Communicate effectively with other lifeguards, pool staff, and management to ensure a cohesive team environment.
- Assist with pool opening and closing procedures, including setting up and putting away equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues.
- Excellent observation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior lifeguarding experience is preferred but not required.
- Availability to work several shifts per week, including a required weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday)
- Ability to stand and stay alert for extended periods
- Comfort working outdoors for extended periods, including at least one hour in direct sunlight
- Must be at least 16 years old
