Company Overview
The Rack Recovery Specialist oversee operations related to the shipping, handling, and management of truck carts and racks. This role will be responsible for coordinating the rental racks we source from external providers, as well as maintaining and organizing the racks we own in-house. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate inventory tracking, proper stacking, and efficient management of all racks to support smooth logistics and operational flow.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain accurate records of all racks.
Rack Recovery Scheduling: Plan and coordinate timely recovery of racks to ensure operational efficiency.
Logistics Coordination: Manage rack movements for shipping and receiving activities.
Shipment Planning: Organize inbound and outbound shipments to meet business needs.
Seasonal Storage: Develop and execute off-season storage strategies for racks and equipment.
Plant Coordination: Collaborate with Mariani Plants, sister company, to align storage and inventory processes.
Process Communication: Inform employees of updates to procedures, protocols, or schedules resulting from new equipment or operational changes.
Equipment Oversight: Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and that dock crews are trained to operate safely and effectively.
Team Leadership: Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to ensure timely and thorough job completion.
Audit Support: Assist in reviewing and managing Store Audit Reports from the field.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison among field teams, dock managers, logistics managers, third-party rental companies, and truck drivers.
Pickup Planning: Coordinate and schedule rack pickups in collaboration with the Logistics Manager.
ERP Utilization: Learn and apply ERP system functions to support inventory and logistics management.
Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a strong desire to develop expertise in rack inventory management.
Fleet Management: Oversee the use and maintenance of company-leased vehicles.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support business needs.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma with 3 years’ experience in inventory management, logistics, or related fields preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
- Strong technical proficiency paired with excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration
- Microsoft Office 365— with expertise in Excel for data management and reporting

- Weekend Work expected during Company peak season
- Ability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
