Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by regularly sweeping and mopping floors.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Help with bussing tables to ensure a clean dining area for guests.
- Follow food handling safety standards to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs of dishwashing equipment to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks beyond dishwashing as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
