Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface wiping
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met or exceeded
- Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment safely and effectively for various surfaces and materials
- Maintain floor care by performing tasks like sweeping,and mopping.
- Manage manual handling tasks including lifting of trash and moving furniture to clean under and behind.
- Communicate professionally with employer.
- Keep cleaning supplies organized, monitor inventory levels, and report maintenance or equipment issues promptly
- Follow established housekeeping management protocols to ensure consistency in service quality
- Perform outdoor work when required, including trash removal.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, hotel housekeeping, or janitorial services is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation standards
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, and dusters
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely using appropriate protective gear and understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) for detergents
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during scheduled shifts
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and outdoor work conditions
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with employer and team members
- Experience in hospitality or customer service environments is a plus but not required
