We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder / Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, precision measurement, and the ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints. Responsibilities
- Assemble and fabricate machinery components according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate assembly
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to construct and modify parts
- Perform electrical wiring and install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed
- Operate CNC machines for precise fabrication of parts when required
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges
- Fabricate custom parts using welding, machining, and fabrication techniques
- Maintain safety standards while working with industrial equipment and power tools
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues during assembly or testing phases
- Support the installation and setup of assembled machinery in production environments
Skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical wiring
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes and programming is a plus
- Skilled in welding techniques for fabrication tasks
- Strong mechanical knowledge including assembly, fabrication, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to operate calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, and assembly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
