What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loader Operator position at Hammond Farms Landscape Supply?
Hammond Farms in an established 5 location landscape supply company throughout the greater Lansing area. We are a fast paced family oriented business with long term ties to the community. We have locations in Dimondale, East Lansing, DeWitt, Mason, and Grand Ledge.
At this time we are actively seeking loader operators at our Dimondale location. Primary duties of this position include operating a Compact Wheel Loader, skid steer, or fork lift to load materials into customers vehicles or trailers.
Qualified applicants MUST:
1) Have some experience operating a skid steer, front end loader, or payloader.
2) Interact pleasantly with the public, who are often people who have little knowledge of what they need!
3) Be able to work in what can be a fast paced and demanding seasonal business with long hours.
4) Be willing and able to work some weekends (more in April, May & June than other months)
The position is ideal for someone with an outgoing personality and desire to work in a casual, yet professional environment.
Blue jeans or shorts, work shoes or boots and company shirt are the preferred attire. The compensation listed is for ENTRY LEVEL. There are long term, permanent opportunities that include health benefits, retirement and profit sharing for employees who excel at this position!
