Barber/Stylist Position Overview
- Barbers provide hair, beard grooming, and shave services.
- Barbers are responsible for explaining the value of the membership programs, executing all mandated sanitation protocols, sterilizing implements, and maintaining a clean, sterile workstation always.
- The ideal applicant must be outgoing, cheerful, engaging, energetic, and resourceful.
- Barbers use a variety of tools, some of these implements are sharp, including scissors, clippers, straight razors, safety razors and specialized hair coloring tools.
- Staying focused on their work and keeping their tools clean and sanitary is of vital importance.
- Reports to: Owner, Shop Manager, or Assistant Manager.
- Option to enroll in 401(k).
- Applicants will not be required to rent their individual stations.
- Hattori Hanzo shears and thinning shears will be provided.

- Eligible to earn commissions, bonuses, and tips.
- The Barber performs hair grooming services for our clients.
- They must demonstrate excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills.
- They must possess excellent communication skills.
- They must hold and maintain a current state license as required.
- Full-time availability. Working days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Ability to work in a dynamic shop environment.
- Supply and maintain professional tools in working order and free of rust - Electric hair clippers, shears/scissors, and straight/safety razors.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and clients.
- Barber must have at least one year of professional experience, Master Barber should have a minimum of 5 years or an MB license.
- Perform hair grooming services for each client.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the shop’s policies and procedures.
- Recommend future visits as well as retail.
- Ensure clients feel welcome when they arrive for their appointments.
- Maintain shop appearance and cleanliness.
- Stock and maintain stations according to standard operating procedures.
- Promote and up-sell products and services.
- Ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the shop.
- Assist with washing and folding of all linens used in the shop. Arrive prior to the start of the shift with enough time to prepare for the day.
- Maintain and increase knowledge of product lines by attending new product promotions, in-house instruction, and education/training classes.
- Assist in all areas of shop operation as requested by management.
Salary : $23 - $40
