What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Driver & Yard Associate position at Hamlin's Marina, Hampden?
While working as a driver, you will primarily pick up and deliver boats to customers and to different Hamlin's locations.
While working in the yard, you will primarily assist with the safe and efficient moving of trailers and boats in and out of the yard, storage buildings, service bays, and customer launches in & out of the water. You will assist with checking in new boats, motors, and trailers as they are delivered, completing forms that detail the status and condition of the new units, and prep trailers for sale. You will operate a snowplow to keep the yard safe and accessible in the winter, and help with yard and machinery maintenance and organization.
This position requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping. Position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Position may be required to work across a wide variety of Maine weather conditions.
This is a full-time position requiring 40-55 hours, M-F 7:30 am-4-5 pm, and Saturdays from 8-12 during boating season.

Required
- Valid Driver's License
- Authorized to work in the US
- Forklift, tractor and trailer driving experience
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and check-in/check-out sheets
- Must have legible handwriting
- Ability to speak effectively and use walkie in a manner that displays professionalism with customers
- Ability to work independently & with a team
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to handle a fast pace and quickly transition between job duties
- Experience in a marine environment with vessel movement
- Tractor and yard equipment experience
- Hydraulic trailer operating experience
- Forklift training
- Basic mechanical hand tools & preventive maintenance
