Job Summary
The Medical/Health Occupations Teacher (CTE) provides engaging, hands-on instruction that prepares students for careers in the healthcare field. This position delivers standards-aligned curriculum in areas such as, but not limited to: medical terminology, patient care, health science, and workplace safety while integrating real-world skills, clinical simulations, and career exploration opportunities. The teacher supports students in developing technical competencies, professionalism, and employability skills necessary for success in postsecondary education and entry-level healthcare careers. Collaboration with industry partners, promotion of industry certifications where applicable, and a strong commitment to student safety and career readiness are essential. • Work Locations & FTE: Hamilton High School, .41 FTE, Part-Time, 15 hours per week, courses are 1:30pm to 3:15pm Monday - Thursday. • Position Start: August 2026 • Salary: DOE & units, salary based on Certificated Salary Schedule (we honor up to 10 years of applicable experience) • See attached salary schedule (salary and benefits based on the Hamilton USD salary and benefits schedule). Prorated based on 15 hours per week. • $1,200 stipend for MA • CalSTRS retirement eligible, sick leave, not applicable for health insurance benefits • We accept up to 10 years’ experience! Requirements / Qualifications
Requirements: possess and maintain a valid California Career Technical Education credential in the industry sector of the teaching assignment OR the ability to qualify for a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education teaching credential in the assigned industry sector.
