What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice Principal- Elementary School- Anticipated position at Hamilton Township School District?
- NJ Principal's Certificate Required (Standard, Provisional, or CE)
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience preferred;
- Administrative experience preferred;
- Knowledge/experience with elementary school best practices (particularly in core academic areas and intervention);
- Knowledge/experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS);
- Knowledge/experience with elementary master scheduling preferred;
- Understanding of teacher observation/evaluation process (ie: Danielson);
- Ability to strengthen family and community engagement within a diverse elementary school community;
- Knowledge/experience with classroom and building school climate and restorative interventions;
- Ability to present building-based professional development;
- Knowledge of school law, assessment accountability/procedures, and NJ Student Learning Standards;
- Willingness to work collaboratively with building Principal and administrators across the district (in a large district setting).
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Anticipated Start Date: 9/1/2026 (or pending clearance)
- Per HTASA Salary Guide STEP 9A at 85% for Elementary School Vice-Principal
- $134,395 to 138,895 (with doctorate degree)
