Host/Hostess Support Staff

Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. Someone who is more than just a Greeter but Support Staff. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive dining experience. Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Escort guests to their tables, provide menus and share the specials for the day.

-Greet departing guests with pleasantries and welcome them back.
- Assist in seating guests according to seating chart or guest preferences.
- Tend to guests' special needs and concerns.
- Must be organized to handle reservations, walk-ins, wait list, phone calls and ensuring customers with a positive dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

-Prepare tables for upcoming reservations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy. Must be able to communicate with management to address safety concerns and issues promptly.
- Observant to the guests' needs throughout the dining room and ensure high quality service. (Ex. when walking around observe if a customer needs a refill or remove a dirty plate from the table)

-Must be willing to be a team member and assist in bussing a table, or taking a drink order if needed.

-Dress is Business Casual.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but willing to train.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Basic knowledge of food service procedures and etiquette

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.13 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
