Math Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking 2 dedicated and passionate Math Teachers to join our team at Hamilton Middle School. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and foster a love for learning. This full-time position requires a collaborative approach to teaching, a commitment to student success, and the ability to create an engaging classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum requirements.
• Teach a range of math topics, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and statistics, to middle school students.
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback and support.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a growth mindset.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in math education.
• Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities and real-world applications.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives and events, promoting a positive school culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Montana teaching certification or license in Mathematics for middle school (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Strong understanding of middle school math curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Previous teaching experience at the middle school level is preferred but not required.
