HHS Assistant Track Coach

Summary

Hamilton High School is seeking dedicated individual to join our team for the seasonal HHS Track program. This position involves working with student-athletes to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship while ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for athletics and a desire to help students develop their skills and confidence on the track. Open until filled.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of track practices and competitions.
• Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes in various track and field events.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance and progress of student-athletes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and events.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and performance.
• Assist in organizing and managing track meets and other events.
• Maintain equipment and facilities in good condition.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in coaching or working with student-athletes in track and field or related sports.
• Strong knowledge of track and field events, rules, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Must pass a background check and comply with school district policies.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the track season.
