Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and implementing effective training sessions and practice plans.
- Provide individual and group instruction to athletes, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
- Help organize and supervise team practices, games, and tournaments.
- Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Foster a positive team culture that promotes respect, discipline, and camaraderie among players.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of team members.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and competitions.
- Help with the organization of team logistics, including transportation, equipment management, and scheduling.
- Attend all required meetings and contribute to the overall success of the volleyball program.
- Previous coaching experience or playing experience in volleyball at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level.
- Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach, players, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be available for practices, games, and team events throughout the season.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Ability to pass a fingerprint criminal background check per School Board policy.
