Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Midway, KY
Shift: 2nd shift: 4:00pm - 12:30am
Overtime is mandatory on a daily basis
Pay: $20.00 p/hr
What you'll do:
- Responsible for troubleshooting systems
- Performing preventive and predictive maintenance on all installed equipment to minimize downtime
- Support installation and modification of equipment
- Ensure quality control requirements are met
- Process enhancements are realized.
- Optimize line up time
- Proactively resolve equipment issues
- Monitor work performed by outside contractors to ensure that AHK’s machine standards are met.
- Follow and comply with all plant safety policies and procedures standards including LOTO.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of various manufacturing equipment.
- Implement and enhance continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes.
- Effective communication with team members and other departments.
- Maintain integrity of safety devices including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.
- Make modifications to existing equipment as required.
- Ensure equipment meets NEC, OSHA, and AHK’s regulations.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections as required, complete with all repairs.
- Minimize downtime by effective use of resources including response time, technical expertise, tools, spare parts and external contacts.
- Monitor and maintain good housekeeping and daily inspection of equipment.
- Work inside manufacturing facility, with some facility needs outside the perimeter sometimes
- Being able to lift a weight over 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, stooping and stretching
- Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Operator Forklift, Crane or Tugger as needed
What we need from you:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or over
- Must comply with client's substance abuse & background policy
- Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must possess valid KY driver’s license
- Must have 2 Year degree Technical College or Minimum 5 Year on the job training with industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years Maintenance experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred
- General knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical or controls application
- Journeyman certification is a plus
- Must have good written & oral communications
- Must have good mathematical and communication
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment
- Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc.
- Must have a general knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Must be able to pay good attention to detail
- Must have a basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of computer applications (Excel, Word & others)
- Basic knowledge of Electrical including PLC
- Must pose ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to provide own tools needed for position
- Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet customer requirements
