Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain patient hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist nursing staff with medical procedures as needed.
- Ensure the safety of patients by following established protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
Requirements
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine and basic life support techniques.
- Experience in long-term care or memory care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with both inpatient and outpatient care environments.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Experience working with children or geriatrics is a plus.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to empathize and connect with diverse populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
