Hours: Monday - Thursday 8AM - 5PM, Friday 8AM - 12PM
In addition to performing radiology procedures, the Senior Radiologic Technologist must coordinate the activities of other technologists including Certified Medical Assistant /Certified Limited License Radiologic Technician CMA/CLLRTs within Hamilton Physician Services (HPS), for smooth, efficient patient through-put, with maximum patient care and safety for patients of all age populations. This would include scheduling, counseling, and interviewing technologist and technicians. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and assess data reflective of the patients’ current status in relation to their age specific needs. May function in medical assisting capacity with physician or nurse practitioner. The Radiology Supervisor will be responsible for radiologic onboard training and annual quality review of each CMA/CLLRT within Hamilton Physician Services. Responsible for consulting with other offices regarding radiology supplies, access and/or equipment for departments within Hamilton Physician Services.
Education: Two year degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program deemed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or equivalent field is preferred.
Licensure: ARRT (R) – Required to maintain continuing education credits as established by the ARRT, ASRT and facility. Current CPR certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire. Experience: 3 to 5 years as a technologist. Minimum 3 years as a technologist required, one year supervisory experience is preferred.
Skills: Personnel supervisory skills, along with all other patient care, scanning, and all other non-supervisory activities is required.
Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients’ needs that are age appropriate. Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patient served.
