Paralegal - First-Party Property

Hamilton Miller & Birthisel LLP is currently seeking experienced Paralegals for fulltime positions in the Firm's First-Party Property practice group.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience working in a law firm or similar environment
• Experience, exposure & knowledge working in the area of First-Party Property or alike practice.
• Ideal Paralegal candidate will be Florida based, as minimal travel will be required in and around the Central Florida area (and at times, statewide) to complete investigations and other duties.
  
  

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, a team player, and capable of multitasking
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with state and federal court rules
• Ability to follow client billing guidelines and manage billing entries
• Prior trial experience is a plus
  
  

Responsibilities

• Locate and contact factual witness
• Draft witness and exhibit lists
• Organize case documents accurately
• Identify and reach out to experts, assist in preparing hearing and trial
  
  

notebooks, and support during trials

• Conduct initial case investigations, gather facts, draft pleadings and
  
  

discovery documents (interrogatories, requests for production)
