Hours: 5:30AM - 8PM
JOB SUMMARY
Performs a variety of food service duties for patient care. Assembles patient trays using standardized processes, following all guidelines for modified diets, stocks galleys as required. Follow all standards in preparing food for modified diets as prescribed by physicians. Follows correct portioning of food for adherence to modified diets. Stocks food items on the patient assembly line. Cleaning duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent of work related experience
Licensure: None
Experience: Food handling experience preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong communication skills, able to stand and walk for extensive periods of time, some lifting and pushing is required.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a typical institution kitchen setting subject to the hazards associated with such an environment including wet surfaces, cleaning equipment, and sharp instruments. Moderate amount of lifting, stooping, pushing, stretching and bending. Extended periods of standing or walking are required. Must have capacity to learn diet modifications. Good hand eye coordination.
