Description:
Located in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, Hamilton Local School District is seeking a Secretary at Hamilton Township High School, that is organized, efficient, and self-motivated. We are offering a position that includes a full-time (8 hours per day from 7:00am to 3:00pm), 212-day contract for the 2026-2027 school year, with a start date of July 27, 2026.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to two years in general office work.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to prioritize and complete job assignments from multiple supervisors
- Ability to operate personal computer and related software.
- Ability to pass a typing test at 45 words per minute.
- Ability to get along with other people and have patience in dealing with parents and children.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule
