The Opportunity

Hamilton Lane is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Finance & Accounting Team in Conshohocken, PA.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work alongside other members of the Corporate Finance and Accounting team to assist with the monthly accounting processes of Hamilton Lane and all subsidiaries.

Your Responsibilities Will Be To

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules for month-end close process.
• Assist with preparation of monthly internal financial reporting package and variance analysis.
• Maintain detailed reconciliations of key general ledger accounts and ensure supporting documentation exists.
• Research and analyze accounting data.
• Ensure all documentation exists and is maintained for internal control purposes.
• Coordinate with external auditors on the audit of corporate entities and partnerships.
• Coordinate with local advisors and regulators to address new compliance obligations, regulatory changes, and ensure timely filing of returns for all assigned entities.
• Interpret contractual terms related to the calculation of placement and rebate fees.
• Special projects as assigned.
  
  

Your Background Will Include

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• CPA certification preferred
• 4-6 years corporate accounting experience
• SEC/public company reporting experience preferred
• Excellent general accounting skills required and knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience with SOX 404 compliance efforts
• Excellent communication skills
• Exposure to the complexities of international business operations, including managing foreign currencies and fx translations a plus
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and take initiative in resolving problems and making recommendations
• Must be highly disciplined, results-oriented and self-motivated
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, meet established deadlines and work independently
• Ability to analyze financial information with a meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel required
• Experience with Workday Financials a plus
