The Maintenance & Purchasing Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of all plant maintenance operations. This position is responsible for assisting in planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). In addition, ensures the availability of all necessary parts, tools, contractors, and materials to support both planned and unplanned maintenance work. The coordinator serves as the CMMS administrator and works closely with maintenance and production teams to reduce unplanned downtime, manage inventory, and support safety and compliance efforts.

Requirements
- Assist in the improvement of planned maintenance work using CMMS, transitioning from time-based to condition-based maintenance where applicable
- Schedule and assign Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) work orders based on priority and resource availability
- Administer the CMMS database, including data entry, system updates, user permissions, asset additions, parts management, workflow development, and reporting
- Track all machine downtime and equipment history to identify trends, improve planning, and support continuous improvement
- Assist in the management of coordinating and managing plant and line shutdown schedules in collaboration with maintenance and production teams
- Maintain accurate spare parts inventory, including procurement, inventory checks, restocking, and organizing the parts room
- Ensure timely requisition and delivery of materials and contractor services to complete work efficiently
- Generate maintenance reports based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as PM completion rates, labor utilization, downtime, and inventory accuracy
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures and support escalation when needed
- Perform moderate physical tasks such as lifting parts and operating forklifts or aerial work platforms
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; technical certification or diploma in a related field is an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance coordination or planning role in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and resource management
- Proficient with CMMS software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, work order culture, and inventory control
- Comfortable using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes
- Willingness to be train on Forklift and aerial work
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written
