HHS Long Term Substitute - Math

Summary
Hamilton High School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Long Term Substitute Math Teacher to provide instructional support in the mathematics department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective math lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring that students meet academic standards. This position requires a commitment to student success and collaboration with faculty and staff. This temporary position will be from approximately March 2, 2026 to May 10, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Deliver high-quality instruction in various math subjects, including but not limited to algebra, geometry, and calculus.
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement effective classroom management strategies.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and administration regarding student performance and any concerns.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required.
• Adapt instruction based on student needs and learning styles.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification or license in Mathematics for the appropriate grade level.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience preferred, particularly in a high school setting.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
• Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
