About the Role
HHCDC is seeking a motivated Assistant Director to help lead daily center operations, support and develop staff, ensure licensing compliance, and build strong relationships with families.
This is a hands-on leadership and management position for someone who loves both people and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise daily operations and staffing
- Coach and mentor teachers through classroom observations
- Promote a positive, accountable team culture
- Communicate effectively with families
- Ensure compliance with Child Care Licensing regulations
- Maintain key administrative and enrollment records
- Identify operational improvements and implement solutions
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in childcare or education
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- Organized, proactive, and solution-focused mindset
- Passion for early childhood education
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Able to pass required background clearances
