Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations within a hospital setting, ensuring safe and effective medication management for patients. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Prepare and label medications accurately for administration.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care in acute care settings.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Educate patients on proper medication administration techniques, including inhalation methods.

Skills

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to medications and treatments.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
