Senior Typist

HFM BOCES is looking for a Senior Typist to support daily operations, onboarding, and records management in a collaborative office environment. This position offers a diverse mix of responsibilities, including co-managing substitute staffing processes, coordinating onboarding and orientations, maintaining critical records and scanning systems, and providing office support. You'll work closely with team members and regional partners while delivering professional service to employees and districts. Candidates must meet the following requirements: graduation from high school, high school equivalency diploma or a high school Individual Education Plan Diploma and either:

A. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associate's degree in secretarial science or a closely related field which must have included a course in typing, keyboarding or word processing; or

B. Two years of clerical experience which shall have involved typing; or

C. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above

All experience required to meet the minimum qualification section is PAID.

EXAM Requirement:

This is a civil service position: appointed applicant. The Senior Typist title is currently part of the NYHELPS program until 6/30/2028 and at this time an exam is not required.

RESIDENCY Requirement:

You must be a resident of Hamilton, Fulton or Montgomery County in order to be considered for this position.
