Position Overview

Hamilton Farms is seeking disciplined, detail-oriented Post-Harvest Associates to join our production team. This is a vital role within our facility, responsible for the final processing stages that ensure our cannabis flower meets premium market standards. As a member of our internal team, you will contribute to a structured, high-performing environment dedicated to excellence in craft cannabis.

Work Responsibilities

  • Precision Manicuring: Provide high-quality hand-trimming services for harvested flower to meet specific aesthetic and quality benchmarks.
  • Cross-Departmental Support: Maintain operational flow by rotating across various post-harvest departments—including drying, curing, and packaging—as production needs shift.
  • Facility Sanitation: Maintain a professional and sanitary workspace, ensuring all tools and processing areas meet strict compliance and cleanliness standards.
  • Quality Control: Identify and report any issues with product consistency or quality during the processing phase.

Compensation Model

We utilize a task-based compensation structure designed to reward high-efficiency performance while providing a stable base for general support tasks:

  • Trimming Services (Piece Rate): When performing precision trimming, associates are compensated at a rate of $88 per finished lb that meets quality specifications.
  • General Post-Harvest Tasks (Hourly): When assigned to non-trimming duties (such as dry room support, packaging, or facility maintenance), associates are compensated at a flat rate of $17/hr.

  • Insurance Coverage: Coverage under employer-paid Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Insurance.
  • Paid Sick Leave: Accrue legally protected Paid Sick Leave (accrual begins immediately; usable after 120 days of employment).

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in horticulture, agriculture, or high-volume precision assembly is preferred. High finger dexterity and the ability to maintain quality over long production windows are essential.
  • Compliance: Must be 21 and be able to pass all state-mandated background checks/fingerprinting.
  • Physical Environment: Ability to work in a climate-controlled indoor facility which may include exposure to dust, odors, and extended periods of sitting or standing.

Note: Work environment may include exposure to dust, fumes, odors, heights, heat, humidity and noise, uneven surfaces, stand/sit long periods of time, bending/stooping, or hard surfaces. There is also the requirement to wear PPE and work during inclement weather (we are an indoor facility).
