QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or beyond in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Valid Teaching License required; additional Administrative or Supervisory License/Certificate preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in education, curriculum development, instruction, or related fields.
- At least two years of experience in educational administration or leadership preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in instructional leadership, professional development, curriculum design and implementation, data analysis, and program evaluation.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Supervisor/Consultant – Instructional Services provides leadership and guidance to Educational Consultants serving public and non-public schools. This role supports the implementation of high-quality instructional practices, curriculum alignment, professional development, and program evaluation to enhance student achievement and district success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Leadership
- Serve as a resource for information regarding curriculum, instruction, assessment, and program design.
- Maintain expertise in K-12 teaching and learning to support evolving educational needs.
- Provide leadership and strategic guidance for curriculum alignment, instructional materials selection, and standards-based instruction.
- Supervise and evaluate Educational Consultants to ensure effective support for schools and districts.
- Collaborate with department chairs, principals, and district leadership to implement effective instructional strategies.
- Analyze data, monitor programs/services, and support district leaders in evidence-based decision-making.
- Lead, design, and deliver professional development in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and intervention.
- Provide coaching and mentoring for Educational Consultants to enhance their effectiveness.
- Support implementation of research-based instructional strategies and curriculum frameworks.
- Promote job-embedded professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators.
- Stay current with best practices in education and participate in continuous professional learning.
- Build strategic alliances and relationships with district, regional, and state partners.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver high-quality services.
- Contribute to the development and execution of innovative instructional programs.
- Use technology effectively to develop and deliver instructional resources and professional learning.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal educational policies.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and vision of the organization.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Shall be appointed to a limited contract with the number of workdays established by the employment contract. Salary to be determined by the Board.
