Ooltewah Middle School is a 6-8 school located in Ooltewah, TN, just outside of Chattanooga. Teachers at Ooltewah Middle can expect a supportive and collaborative climate, including the following supports:
- New Teacher Academy led by our instructional coach, which meets monthly to discuss ideas and solutions
- Mentor teacher for new teachers
- Every teacher is a member of a grade level team, and each core teacher has a content partner that meets for collaborative planning weekly.
- Instructional Coach who provides job-embedded professional development
Ooltewah Middle School has a strong Fine Arts Program. We believe that students need to have multiple opportunities and outlets to express themselves in different ways.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
- Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes

- Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
- Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Tennessee teaching license in Mathematics 6-8, 6-12 Mathematics OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
Compensation & Additional Info:
- based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
- Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
