Position Overview
Hamilton Construction Co. is seeking a Laborer – Bridge to support bridge construction projects in the Thompson Falls, Montana area. This role involves performing a variety of physical, hands-on tasks to assist crews in safely and efficiently completing projects. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in demanding outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of manual labor tasks on bridge, highway, and rail construction projects
- Assist skilled trades and equipment operators as needed
- Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and project-specific safety requirements
- Adhere to environmental regulations and jobsite procedures
- Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure a safe work environment
- Report to work on time and ready for assigned duties
- Maintain reliable transportation to and from job sites
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in heavy civil construction (bridges, highways, or rail) preferred
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to access all areas of a construction site in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
- This is a Safety-Sensitive Position where impairment may pose a risk of serious injury or death
- Regular, reliable attendance
