DURATION Moulding & Millwork (a Wholesale Manufacturing Division of Hamilton Building Supply) is seeking a Carpenter/ Senior Millworker for our custom shop. The Carpenter/Senior Millworker is responsible for using woodworking skills to mill and build various items per CAD drawings and blueprints. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic and a great attitude. Pay is commensurate on experience and carpentry skill level.

Daily Responsibilities of the Carpenter/Senior Millworker:
- Collaborates as needed with team on work orders to understand scope of work and best build practices.
- Confirms and records all materials used for production of work orders and submits paperwork to office upon job completion.
- Works within machine schedules to ensure efficiencies and timelines are met.
- Operates all necessary tools to complete the job.
- Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
- Labels jobs according to SOP for proper identification by staff outside of DURATION® shop.
- Maintains a clean working environment and proper use of safety equipment such as hearing protection, goggles, and gloves.
- Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business/shop procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements – 2 Second Lean, 6 Sigma.
- Move equipment and materials to staging and production areas
Qualifications of the Carpenter/Senior Millworker:
- Strong eye/hand coordination and motor skills.
- Ability to perform basic math and know how to read and use a tape measure.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions.
- Ability to take direction from others and apply common sense good judgement when carrying out instructions.
- Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, and have excellent organizational skills.
- Understanding of safety practices and procedures
- Strong carpenter skills
- Able to lift 50 pounds and up to 100 with assistance
