What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, US DC Operations position at Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc.?
We are seeking qualified candidates for a Supervisor- Shipping, US DC Distribution - 1st Shift - Monday to Thursday: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Assign daily work assignments based on workload and customer orders.
- Conduct daily start up communication meetings with associates.
- Monitor associates' activity during the work shift.
- Ensure production standards are maintained.
- Manage a team of full-time and temporary workers during the work shift.
- Plan labor to meet business demands.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including safety policies and procedures.
- Administer coaching and counseling as approved by Distribution Director and HR Manager.
- Other duties approved by the Distribution Management Team.
Requirements of the position include:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years of supervisory experience in distribution or logistics is required.
- Must possess basic computer skills/knowledge of warehouse management system preferred.
- Must be familiar with logistic methodology regarding traffic/carriers/loads.
- Must have strong skills in handling high volume product movement.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work in a demanding environment.
- Must possess solid written and communication skills.
