About the Role

We are seeking an FP&A Manager to support key functions across the organization.  This role serves as a strategic advisor, providing proactive financial insights, challenging assumptions, and helping drive informed business decisions.  

This position plays an important role in supporting Hamilton Beach Brands’ continued growth, innovation, and operational excellence.  The role collaborates closely with cross-functional partners and contributes to key business initiatives that support the company’s long-term strategy.

This is a hybrid position based in Glen Allen, VA and reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to assigned business units, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor to leadership.
  • Own budgeting and forecasting processes, including operating expenses, capital planning, and headcount modeling.
  • Lead variance analysis and proactively identify risks and opportunities, providing clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning, investment decisions, and long-range strategic initiatives.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear insights for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Partner with Accounting during monthly and quarterly close to ensure accurate accruals, reporting alignment, and understanding of business drivers.
  • Drive KPI development and performance tracking to support business performance and decision-making.
  • Influence cost management and investment decisions by evaluating ROI and challenging assumptions.
  • Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and strategic insights to senior leadership with clarity and impact.
  • Collaborate across FP&A and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and a holistic view of business performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field, required.  MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, Accounting, Cost Accounting, or a combination
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario modeling and data-driven decision support
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting tools (e.g., IBM Planning Analytics, Hyperion, Essbase, OneStream, SAP Analytics)
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar platforms)
  • Exposure to business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
