Hamilton Accounting & Taxes is actively searching for the right candidate to fill the role of RECEPTIONIST/BOOKEEPING ASSISTANT. Hamilton Accounting and Tax is located in Chardon, Ohio and has been in business for over 45 years. This position offers flexible work hours and the ability to grow into a deeper accounting role.
Job Description: We are seeking a friendly and organized Accounting Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our accounting and tax departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and organized.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Support the team with various clerical duties as needed.
- Support the accounting department with light bookkeeping duties and basic accounting tasks under supervision.
- Receive and process client payments
- Create and send monthly invoices to clients using Quickbooks
Skills
- QuickBooks experience is required
- Word and Excel experience is required

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office) and general computer skills required
- Quickbooks experience is required
- Tax office experience is a plus
- Tax program experience a plus but not required

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
