About the Role
The General Laborer supports daily lumber-processing operations. This position involves hands-on, physical work and is ideal for individuals who are dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced wood-products environment. This position will work in both heated and non-heated environments.
- Shift: 6:30am to 3:00pm
- Location: Custer, WI
- Company: Ralph Hamel Forest Products, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
- Stack, sort, and band lumber and wood products.
- Assist with feeding lumber into production equipment.
- Perform quality checks to ensure product meets company specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Load/unload materials, including lumber bundles and pallet stock.
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE.
- Assist operators and other team members as directed.
- Support kiln-drying and heat-treat processes as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work on feet for long periods.
- Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor environments all seasons and around heavy machinery.
- Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.

- Pay: $15.00 starting
