Job Summary
- The Cashier must process all cash transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; operating a cash register.
- Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing a driver’s license; operating a credit card authorization system.
- Check the IDs of customers who want to purchase tobacco or alcohol products.
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of work shift.
- Provides pricing information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
Requirements Qualifications
- Strong communication and time management skills

- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner

- May be required to work on holidays and weekends in accordance with the requirements of the store
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification such as a GED
