Responsibilities
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring smooth checkout processes.
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and quality standards, maintaining consistency and food safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu options, and upselling items to enhance guest experience.
- Handle cash and credit card payments responsibly, balancing registers at the end of shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in both the kitchen and front-of-house areas, adhering to food safety management practices.
- Assist with food handling tasks like bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring food presentation meets standards.
- Support team efforts during busy periods by working efficiently in quick service or fast food restaurant settings.
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
- Experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store operations is beneficial but not required.
