Job Title: PreK Lead Teacher
- The PreK Teacher is responsible for creating and delivering an engaging, developmentally appropriate educational experience for children ages 3-5 in a public school setting. The teacher will foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while preparing students for success in kindergarten and beyond.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructional Duties
- Plan, develop, and implement lesson plans aligned with Arkansas Early Learning Standards.
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies and activities to promote foundational literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special needs, English language learners, and gifted students.
- Foster creativity and exploration through hands-on, play-based learning opportunities.
Classroom Management
- Establish and maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies to encourage appropriate social interactions and emotional self-regulation.
- Develop routines and procedures that promote independence, responsibility, and respect among students.
Assessment and Documentation
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and developmental milestones.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and support individual student needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation in compliance with district and state policies.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other PreK staff, including paraprofessionals and support services personnel, to ensure all students receive a high-quality education.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and strategies for supporting learning at home.
- Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), faculty meetings, and professional development sessions.
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere to all district policies, state regulations, and ethical standards for educators.
- Integrate technology and other instructional tools to enhance learning.
- Serve as an advocate for early childhood education and promote family engagement within the school community.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
