Position Summary:
The Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to increase sales and revenue across residential and commercial installations and services/repair through outside sales activities. The role is also responsible for maintaining exceptional customer experience and professional store presence. This leader will also work closely with the corporate team to ensure smooth communication, job flow, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drives sales and revenue across residential garage door installs, commercial overhead door installs, and service and repair sales, through outside sales activities
- Conducts in-home and on-site sales consultations
- Develops new business through walk-ins, phone and internet leads, field sales calls, and local networking and relationship building
- Manages and tracks sales pipeline activity
- Maintains margin discipline while growing top-line revenue
- Follows up consistently on open quotes and opportunities
- Submits required weekly sales and activity reports
- Tracks sales performance metrics and revenue targets
Store/Team Leadership
- Responsible for direct oversight of one in-store team member
- Ensures showroom presentation is clean, professional, and customer-ready
- Maintains required staffing coverage
- Attends required monthly in-person leadership meeting at the corporate office
Other duties as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Associate’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred
- At least 2 years of sales experience required
- At least 1 year in a sales leadership role required
- Experience in construction, building materials, or home improvement preferred
- Proven sales leadership experience
- Strong closing ability and follow-up discipline
- Self-motivated and performance-driven
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable managing KPIs and accountability metrics
- Professional communicator with strong customer presence
Physical Requirements/Abilities:
• Ability to conduct frequent travel via car to customer sites
• Office environment working at a desk on a computer
• Ability to type on a keyboard
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to stand, walk, listen and speak
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Salary: $80,000 annually plus commission
