About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and student-focused High School Agriculture Teacher to join our Career and Technical Education team. This position delivers high-quality instruction in agricultural science and related subjects, supports student engagement through hands-on learning, and promotes real-world career readiness. Experience with agricultural technologies and project-based learning is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging agriculture and Agri-STEM curriculum aligned to state standards and district goals.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom and lab environment that encourages student success.
- Instruct students in agriculture science, technology, sustainability, and related topics.
- Incorporate experiential learning (labs, fieldwork, project-based activities).
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records, communicate student progress to parents/guardians, and collaborate with colleagues.
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and school events.
- Supervise agricultural student organizations (e.g., FFA) and career-focused activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education, Agricultural Science, Agri-STEM, or related field.
- Valid Arkansas Department of Education teaching certification with Agriculture endorsement (e.g., 7-12 Agriculture).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive instruction and student engagement.
Preferred:
- Prior teaching experience.
- Experience integrating technology into instruction.
- Familiarity with Google Classroom, Canvas, or similar LMS.
- Willingness to secure CDL
