Compensation: $16.00 to $16.75 per hour
The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part-time Cage Cashier to join our team at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York,. As Cage Cashier, you will handle a large amount of currency, cash checks, and redeem tickets, vouchers, and chips for guests.
Hours:
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Overnight hours can be anytime between 4pm and 4:30am
Some training could be on a mid-shift of 12pm-8:30pm
*Shift differentials pay from midnight to 6am*
Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

What will you do?
- Handle large sums of money including processing and verifying vouchers, approving and cashing checks, and cash advance services.
- Distributing cash to floor attendants for jackpots and hand-pays.
- Maintain an accurate count of your drawer, fill all necessary paperwork out correctly.
- Perform regular cash buys to Cage Supervisor or Main Banker.
- Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Use money counter, computer and calculator frequently, able to multitask and have attention to detail.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
More about you
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain state gaming license.
- Intermediate computer skills including routine data input and record keeping.
- Must possess basic math skills including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to work across departmental lines.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, kneel, bend and crouch.
- Gaming environment, noise levels may be moderate-to-high.
