What You'll Do
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal prep, service, and cleanup
- Oversee and schedule kitchen staff
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
- Ensure compliance with USDA/state nutrition guidelines and health/safety codes
- Maintain accurate records for meal counts and reimbursable meal programs
- Prior experience in food service, kitchen management, or a related role (school cafeteria experience a plus)
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain one
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Food Service Employee Hourly rate: $16.34 (8 hours per day / Monday through Friday)
- Kitchen Manager Stipend (in addition to the above hourly rate): $4000 (prorated for term of employment - $190.48 per pay)
- School-year schedule with summers off (188 days per academic year)
- Eligible for single-level medical and dental benefits or a $1500 opt-out incentive
- 8 paid holidays 12 PTO days annually
