Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations efficiently.
- Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Follow designated routes accurately while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery.
- Verify delivery details, complete necessary paperwork, and obtain signatures when required.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch to report delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of route driving best practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading goods and operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
