Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of all items.
• Follow designated routes accurately while managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery.
• Verify delivery details, complete necessary paperwork, and obtain signatures when required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch to report delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of route driving best practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
• Warehouse experience including loading/unloading goods and operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely; familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing deliveries efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
