QA Manager is responsible for oversight and assistance on all requirements related to QA programs and policies. Experience in food safety is essential for the success of this position.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures products produced are safe, consistent, and of high quality by overseeing sampling and testing programs.
- Ensures compliance with all quality programs, including HACCP, GMP and all other pre-requisite programs.
- Ensures quality inspections of delivery of nuts, ingredients, and finished goods complies with established standards. Assists in corrective and preventive action investigations and reporting.
- Manages and assists in creating, revising, and implementing FSMA, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and other policies.
- Manages Monthly inspections of the facility and follow-up activities and pest control.
- Responsible for conducting internal plant audits and third-party audits to ensure and verify regulatory and customer compliance. Assists in new product developments.
- Manages the company's Organic System Plan and annual inspection.
- Manages and assists the equipment calibration program.
- Assists in training employees in Food Safety, GMP, and other related regulations.
- Assists in supply chain programs and label approval processes.
- Responsible for product documentation, labeling, and retention of records. Leads/supports recall traceability program.
- Works with the Warehouse Manager in receiving ingredients, packaging, returns, and documentation.
- Works with Operations Manager, Production Managers, warehousing, and maintenance whenever needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager and President.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field is required.
· 3-5 years of experience in food safety and quality is preferred.
· Ability to work independently and with a team. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
· Ability to summarize, interpret test data and make recommendations.
· Ability to work flexible hours when needed including early or late start, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
