Position:

Hamadeh Educational Services (HES) is seeking an outstanding administrator to serve as the Dean of Student Affairs & Family Engagement Liaison responsible for student behaviors, promoting school safety, student achievement, and building relationships within the community.

Academy Mission:

The Academies provide an education that will enable the various ethnic traditions, values, and experiences of students to enrich and nurture one another. The Academies shall provide an education of the whole child by integrating the different aspects of children’s learning and lives to make them more meaningful. The Academies will prepare its students to be independent lifelong learners and productive working members of a global society through acquired diverse knowledge, experiences and skills. The Academies shall provide an environment that encourages students to become upright responsible decision-makers, reflective of equity, respect and understanding, maximizing each individual’s intellectual, physical, psychological and moral self by utilizing a unique safe and orderly environment that is conducive to learning to meet the challenges of this ever-changing world.

Responsibilities:

• Implements strategies that motivate and inspire students to succeed and stay in school
• Supports teachers and staff members in to hold all students to high and consistent behavioral expectations
• Serves as the point person for behavioral issues and crisis intervention
• Acts as a resource for school staff in relations to issues of discipline, relationships with students and parents, classroom management, and school culture
• Assists teachers, students, and parents in effective creation and implementation of individual behavior plans
• Helps reinforce the effective use of a school-wide behavior plan, including managing the school’s discipline rubric system
• Leads staff efforts to ensure all students have excellent attendance and arrive to school on time and work aggressively with students and parents to ensure excellent attendance
• Supervises breakfast, lunch, in-between class transitions, scheduled school events, and dismissal, making sure students are where they need to be at all times
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree within the Education or Law Enforcement field preferred
• Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft office software
• Knowledge of the Arabic language preferred
• Strong management skills
• Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience working in culturally diverse setting.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Flexible, open-minded, self-driven team member
