What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Photographer/Assistant position at Halverson Photography?
We are accepting applications for a School Photographer. No photography experience is necessary. Work while your kids are in school.
This position is seasonal, Fall (August through November). There will be a bonus at the end of the fall season based on job performance. School Picture days include working mornings until between 11am-2pm (depending on afternoon preschool).
Job responsibilities:
Working in a team environment with co-workers. Frequently setting up/lifting equipment up to 30 pounds. Traveling to school locations to photograph school portraits for children K-12, and doing paperwork.
Requirements for this Photographer position:
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and enjoy working with children in a school photo day environment.
- Dependable, on time or early to photo day assignments.
- Must live within 30 minutes of Iowa City or Cedar Rapids.
- Traveling to photo day locations mileage is paid for out of town driving.
- Must have an insured, reliable transportation; a valid driver's license to arrive at photo day locations.
- Mobile phone friendly: Must have a phone with the ability to download an app for viewing work schedules, and being responsible for clock-in/out of shifts.
